i think its both logical and functional; a jousting centaur should be more concerned with maneuvering the torso away from the opponent's pointy end than taking head on impact. Not as if h could get "knocked from the horse;" he's more at risk of spinal injury than impalement.
Good job on the centaur's armor o.o the biggest problem is that the armor won't hinder the centaur in movement (which is their plus). The chest could need a bit more coverage though, but it's solved in a clever way
Great job. IReally like the grass and the background you did, plus the earthy stuff around it. The earth part I find frames the drawing. The armor and facial expression looks so nice. The skin is like, beautiful. I'm really jealous! Please keep up the great work! IF you're not busy, maybe you could do skin tutorial..? Oh, and is this the original canvas size?
thank you, i'm glad you like the picture. i'm not sure if i'd have any in-depth info on drawing skin since it's mainly a intuitive process for me but i'll consider it. as for the canvas size, in this case it was 7000x7000 pixels.
Not a problem dalhin, sorry I totally didn't mean to get you in trouble! You've got a LOT of crazy beautiful talent in order to inspire such a reaction - especially when it's a centaur which has obviously been drawn. Point is, you have me salivating over something that doesn't exist and getting excited over something that is just NOT REAL on like, four different levels THAT's when you know your art is amazing, and THAT's what should be going through your head when you receive those kinds of comments Best of luck to you hunnay, you can definitely go places with drawings like these!
