progress shots and some details for my latest work:
many of you asked for a tutorial. sadly, i don't have enough time to make a proper one, but i hope these progress shots will still be useful for some of you. i don't use this particular technique for all my works but i do enjoy it. i've been working with it for a bit longer than half a year now. i hope i'll be able to improve it more in the near future.

EDIT:
as an answer to a popular question, before it gets even more popular lol
how to switch from black&white to colours
i'm sure there are as many ways to do this as there are artists who use this technique, but the general rule is quite simple: just go crazy with layer styles. i use overlay, soft light, multiply and sometimes colour (for certain effects i use some of the others as well), mixing them with some regular normal layers. there is really no set order in which i do those things (although i tend to start with overlay), which is why it's so difficult for me to explain my ways via a tutorial.. it's a bit of a freestyle for me. if the number of layers gets too high i simply merge them all and keep working on top of that.
i hope this answer is enough. if there is anything else you'd like to know, simply ask me in a comment^^
if you find thid helpful i'll try to upload some more progress shots for other works in the future~

You don't need to do tutorial, just do some walktroughs (steps, progresses) like this one. It's inspirating and beautiful to watch you doing your work! I'm looking forward. Keep it up! ^^
