i was planning to work really long on this one but... as always i ended up doing the colours in just a few hours..... *stabs self*
speed painting will seriously become the end of me ;___;

i'm kiiiinda happy with this one, i guess... just hope i'll manage to make a really top-quality pic next time x__x;;

okaay, many people asked about the tree-spirit-thingie so i guess i should explain a bit~

the 'thing' is obviously inspired by kodama tree-spirits you could see in mononoke hime.. i lurve studio ghibli and their animes have had great influence on me ^^=
but! lol;; the tree-spirit you can see here is not completely the same as ghibli's kodamas. it's uhh, my version XDDD;;
take a look at kodamas and this thing and you'll be sure to see some differences ...i think lol;;;;;
yah, what else...
ooh, my tree-spirits will steal any sugar they can find X3
but they don't eat it!
they worship sugar-cubes and build pyramids of them, haha~
..i'll have to draw it one day lol

I love the gentelness of the lines and the coloration's theme. It all has a warm, cozy feel to it.

ommmmmmmggg this came out sooo goood *_____* i love love it.~!!!!
The problem with detailed works is that sometimes things get lost in it with more detail. This is lovely btw....kind of in the middle between simple illustration and detailed one. But its great!! The composition and line art are VERY pleasing to the eye *feel very proud of this lenlen *chuuus* *
And the colors are a lovely mix of warm and eathly colors. It makes me want to snuggle up under some warm candlelight and open up a thick good book *chuus*
