my dear watchers and visitors. thank you for visiting my page over a million times. it is really overwhelming and still a bit difficult for me to believe. during the 8 years i have spent on deviantART i made some good friends and received a lot of support. i am very grateful. i'll keep working and doing my best to provide you with better and better works to enjoy^^
AVITERION
many of you have probably taken notice of the works for a project called Aviterion and today i am happy to introduce it to you properly.
Aviterion is a semi-casual full 3d action rpg game with a network battle option developped by OLC FACTORY team of Sogang University Game Education Center, south korea. The story stressed the negative influence of pollution over natural environment and portrays a story of Karnil, a young boy who sets on an adventure during which he struggles to restore the nature. The game is planned for 3-4 hours and is developed for PC platform. The progress is estimated to be around 90%.
The works on Aviterion started two years ago as a different project, Last Fantasy. This was when zeuez (my half-time roommate lol) used to be the main character designer. The team has continued the working on Last Fantasy for a year. After that there were many changes among team members (especially with some of the students graduating the school). In the end the project itself underwent a major metamorphosis. The whole storyline was written anew and the things that stayed the same were mainly the character and location designs (seeing as it's a shame to waste perfectly good graphic sources, especially when working under a pressing deadline : I ). Starting in March 2011 the works on the project started over again, I took over as the character designer.
Aviterion has been displayed during international game expo G★STAR 2011 (in south korea) at Sogang University Game Education Center's booth, as well as during the Sogang University Game Education Center's open project presentation (attended by representatives of over 50 south korean game companies) and received considerable attention from the media, resulting in features in internet press (one of the articles: www02.playforum.net/gstar/-/id… ) and TV.
you can also watch a sample gameplay video on youtube. it is a couple of months old so it doesn't show the current version of the game - many things were fixed and added. still, it should give you a good idea of how the game looks like. additionally it is worth mentioning that the whole sound track for Aviterion was made from scratch especially for the game. the video can be seen here: www.youtube.com/watch?v=wJOPTp…
